Message from the Principal

Principal Kevin Rupprecht

Greetings Harrison Prep Families!

Well Done!  Well done Students!  Well done to our Families, are staff, and Teachers!   Mrs. Lund and I are having a reflective moment.  We are reflecting on the totality of this year.  We began this year with a few new faces on our staff, and 150 new 6th graders and 50+ more upper class students.  We quickly began in September, engaged in teaching our students and before we all knew it, it was November Student Led Conferences.  We were celebrating our Veterans, and gearing up for a wonderful Winter season of performances and celebrations.  We blinked and it was the start of a new semester, and we were honoring the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King.  We were fostering and encouraging students, supporting each other, and then we began hearing grumblings of this virus on a far off continent.  Little did we know, by the Mid 3rd Quarter, we would be scrambling to close up Spring Student Led Conferences and shutting down our schools, and pausing our lives, for what we believed would be a Public Health and Safety Two Week Quarantine…that lasted a month.  We found ourselves quickly transitioning to an Online Learning Platform-Teams, and we found our quarantine extended to the rest of the year.  Now we find ourselves the week of June 17th, the last day of school, exactly three months to the day, from when we last saw our students in the classrooms.
